Saturday, July 16th.
The nationalist group Northeast Infidels, supported by the Scottish Defence League, held a protest against a new mosque set to be built in Middlesborough.
The turnout seems to be several dozen, not counting locals who came out to show support for the anti-mosque protesters. This comes two months after a town hall meeting in Middlesbrough was attended by over 100 locals voicing opposition to the planned mosque and its accompanying islamic center. Police, as well as counter protesters, seemed to not be in attendance. No clashes or arrests were reported & the protest appears to have gone on without any problems.
