Milan, Italy: Lega Nord Protest plans to Convert Army Barracks Into Refugee Shelter

Lega Nord supporters protested against the government’s decision to convert the Caserma Monforte army barracks into a refugee shelter, in Milan on Tuesday.

Over one hundred people attended the rally including Lega Nord leader Matteo Salvini who entered the barracks to express solidarity with the soldiers. He stated, “in these barracks there are guards, not thieves.”

SOT, Matteo Salvini, Lega Nord leader (Italian): “Of course we will do all that is humanly possible because in these barracks there are guards, not thieves.”

SOT, Matteo Salvini, Lega Nord leader (Italian): “(Regarding to German election result) I think it a cure-all and it’s just the beginning. It will be elections soon in Austria, Hungary, United States, France, Holland, if God wants also in Italy. The liberation from the new Soviet Union (EU) is going on and soon or later it will happen in Italy too.”
