A village in Hungary has banned the wearing of Muslim dress and the call to prayer. By leading what it calls “the war against Muslim culture”, it hopes to attract other Christian Europeans who object to multiculturalism in their own countries.
“We primarily welcome people from western Europe – people who wouldn’t like to live in a multicultural society,” Laszlo Toroczkai tells the BBC’s Victoria Derbyshire programme. “We wouldn’t like to attract Muslims to the village.”
Mr. Toroczkai is mayor of Asotthalom, a remote village in the southern Hungarian plains, situated around two hours from the capital Budapest.
“It’s very important for the village to preserve its traditions. If large numbers of Muslims arrived here, they would not be able to integrate into the Christian community.”
“We can see large Muslim communities in western Europe that haven’t been able to integrate – and we don’t want to have the same experience here,” he says. “I’d like Europe to belong to Europeans, Asia to belong to Asians and Africa to belong to Africans. Simple as that.”
The mass immigration of non-whites in recent years has contributed to a rise in anti-immigrant sentiment across large parts of Europe and Hungary is no exception.
At the height of the migrant crisis, as many as 10,000 people crossed the border – just minutes from Asotthalom – from Serbia into Hungary each day.
The mayor has capitalised on the anxiety about such an influx and introduced by-laws of questionable legality.
The new local legislation bans the wearing of Muslim dress like the hijab and the call to prayer and also outlaws public displays of affection by gay people. Changes are also being brought in to prevent the building of mosques, despite there being only two Muslims living there currently.
Many lawyers think the laws contravene the Hungarian constitution and, as part of a general review of new local legislation, the government will rule on them in mid-February.
The laws, however, have support among many members of the community.
One resident, Eniko Undreiner, said it was “really scary” to see “masses of migrants walking through the village” last year as they crossed into the country.
“I spend a lot of time at home alone with my young kids – yes, there were times when I was scared,” she says.
The two Muslims living in the village did not want to speak to the BBC for fear of attracting attention to themselves.
The mayor hopes the village can be at the forefront of what he calls “the war against Muslim culture”.
He has employed round-the-clock border patrols, which he thinks will attract white Europeans to live there.
The Knights Templar International has been advertising homes in Asotthalom on its Facebook page.
Its members include Nick Griffin, former leader of the British National Party, and the party’s former treasurer Jim Dowson.
“I have been contacted by Jim Dowson,” Mr Toroczkai explains. “He came to Asotthalom a few times as a private individual, just to have a look. Nick Griffin also came with him.”
Mr Griffin has previously described Hungary as “a place to get away from the hell that is about to break loose in western Europe”.
“When it all goes terribly wrong in the West, more will move to Hungary and Hungary needs those people.”
Mr Toroczkai says he would be happy to welcome people from England.
Asked if he is trying to establish a white supremacist village, Mr Toroczkai replies: “I didn’t use the word white. But because we are a white, European, Christian population, we want to stay [like] this.
When activists held a public leafleting in Salem during the day, a group of non-whites tried to attack the activists, who repulsed the attack. North Front’s correspondent was there and interviewed one of the activists.
During the day of February 1st, Fighting Groups 101 and 103 arranged a public leafleting in Salem. Several gangs of non-whites were already in the area before the Resistance activists started handing out flyers, and the atmosphere was tense from the beginning. But of course, nothing prevented the activists from carrying out the campaign and leaflets were divided diligently out to curious passersby most of whom sympathized with the message.
After about half an hour one of the non-whites milling around worked up the courage to confront one of the activists, and a heated discussion arose. The aliens then went away but after a while came back and urged activists to leave in a threatening manner. Their pathetic attempt to “run off” the activists returned no results when they were told that “we will not move a single meter from here.” The aliens went on to physically attack the activists, who successfully repulsed the attack.
North Front’s correspondent was present and had the opportunity to interview the commander Frederick Kosonen who was in charge on the spot.
What was it that really happened?
Yes, after we had set up and started handing out flyers several Arabs and Africans began to mobilize, who were looking for fights. Whereupon they went up to one of our comrades and asked him to move away, but he refused and explained to them that we were here to hand out political information. Then it became a vicious situation, whereupon I called some activists at the scene.
So you would not say that the lying press usually argue in similar situations, that you exclusively went to the site to mistreat immigrants?
No, it was a fact that it was they who confronted us when one of the non-whites shoved one of our activists, then the fight broke out. The fight may lasted for one minute.
Where strangers armed, and if so, what was the type of weapon?
Yes, I and a comrade had pepper spray in the face. But it was ok, it was a pretty weak pepper spray. After a while I could see quite normally.
Was there something specific that happened during or after the confrontation?
Yes, the non-whites ran away.
Having said that, I thank you because you wanted to set up this interview!
September has been a busy month for us with a visit to the book fair, Fighting Days in Norway, encountering left-wing extremists, and more.
Another month has passed and the year 2016 is nearing its end. As in all other months, the Resistance activists and active party members pushed the movement’s positions. Slowly but surely, street by street, square for square we liberate the Nordic region from the eternal enemy’s deadly grip!
During a public leafleting in Ornskoldsvik met activists of a sad crowd of anarchists with strange hairstyles spat, hissed and behaved aggressively in the false hope that activists would flee the scene. To their great disappointment, they did not move the activists from the spot. With them they had a black-red banner that they said stood for anarko-kommunism.
Besides meeting with the obviously misguided youth they met a familiar face, namely Västernorrland’s own hippie priest Pia Boija. As a year ago, he “bravely protested” against a public leafleting by the Resistance in Ornskoldsvik by waving a peace symbol .
In September, the Nordic Council of Resistance announced that there will be a demonstration in Stockholm on November 12 under the slogan “Stop the alien invasion!”. I hereby call on all Nordic men and women to stand against the betrayers of the people and say that we will not allow our people replaced by foreigners that do not belong in the North! The perfect way to do this is by marching in our ranks on 12 November. There are no excuses for not attending! Read more about the demonstration here .
As most of you readers already know, there was also the annual book fair in Gothenburg. This time the theme was freedom of expression. Activists took the opportunity to disseminate information to the people about the upcoming demonstration in Stockholm on 12 November. The only disturbance was an overweight lesbian with a beer belly who hysterically shouted to the crowd outside the book fair that they would “run Nazis” off the street. Nobody listened, so she went to the police and started shouting at them that they would drive away the National Socialists and when this did not help she stood at a distance and began filming the activists. After a while, the woman finally understood the activists would not move on so she quietly went away.
Inside the book fair were the North Front’s journalists along with the editor Fredrik Vejdeland in place to document the event. The Left were somewhat over-represented at the fair and the New Times was probably the only newspaper with a booth that did not belong to the establishment media. North Front ran into several race traitors and Zionists who do not appreciate either freedom of expression or the journalists’ presence. Aftonbladet’s Asa Linderborg & Expo’s Jonathan Leman two of these. Especially Leman thought it was uncomfortable to be confronted & in sheer panic went around and called the security guards. To defame and spread lies about national socialists behind a computer screen is apparently just fine as long as you do not have to meet them face to face. Then Leman was too afraid to talk with the North Front as Vejdeland did with the Expo’s Daniel Poohl to find out what goes on in his head, and in Expo. The conversation with Poohl can be read in its entirety here .
A few weeks ago announced the Supreme Court that they do not grant stature for Niklas Frost . Frost has previously been innocently convicted of attempted murder in connection with a newspaper sales in Stockholm in 2007, when anti-fascists attacked the Resistance activists. Resistance men repelled the numerically superior strength and an antifascist was stabbed, with Frost was convicted of attempted murder. For five years he was imprisoned as a political prisoner for a crime he did not commit. Despite new film evidence and a witness proven to be a liar, so choose the court not to grant a new trial. Supreme Court’s handling of the case clearly shows how corrupt and distorted the Swedish legal system really is.
So how is the usual activism in the country? Mentioning all the activities in this article would take forever, but here are some examples. In Borlänge there was a discussion evening where one was reading aloud from the Activist’s Guide then discussing the content. In Kristianstad activists took to the streets to spread the National Socialist message to the people. The activity ended with a monthly meeting. The fighters in Gothenburg organized martial arts training and were visited by Belorussian comrades.
Not only have we spread propaganda in Sweden and other Nordic countries but also in Cyprus as a member of the Fighting Group 406 put up stickers in the central areas of Ayia Napa and around a hotel with a lot of Swedes. A shining example of that fighter that never takes vacation! Last but not least the Fighting Group 204 gave out 1200 leaflets in central Skovde in one day.
North Front had been down for a long time because of computer attacks so not all fight reports have been submitted, but despite this, there have been about 170 battle reports for the month.
In Norway the Resistance organized the first Kamp days in Telemark which is a Norwegian equivalent of the “activist days” in Sweden and Finland. Activists from all over Norway gathered to, among other things, listen to lectures and speeches, practicing self-defense and receive news. Resistance Norwegian leader Haakon Forwald announced that it has launched its third publication in Norwegian this year. Previously, it has launched the Nordic Resistance party platform Our road and Activist Handbook and now it has also printed up copies of National Socialism – the biological world outlook which participants were presented with a free copy of. These are the three writings that form the basis of our philosophy and organization. The weekend’s self-defense training was held by an activist with extensive experience in martial arts and self-defense.
To thunderous applause Forwald also announced that during the next summer Nordic Resistance will organize a demonstration in a major Norwegian city under the slogan “Smash the gay lobby”.
Activists in Finland went on 10 September to Helsinki to hold a public campaign. The atmosphere in the place was aggressive when left-wing extremists and so-called “anti-racists” tried to disrupt it. A woman hissed and spat like a crazy cat, but left the place after a while. Most confrontations could be solved with dialogue, but an anti-fascist named Jimi Joonas Karttunen could not be reasoned with. He spat on the activists and began rummaging in a bag, presumably for a weapon. Karttunen was struck by an activist, but then left the place on his own feet.
A week later Karttunen died and on 21 September Jesse Torniainen wasarrested on suspicion of aggravated homicide and assault.
A video from the incident:
The Nordic Resistance stands by the activist & maintains that he had not acted wrongly when he defended the organization’s honor and probably even his comrades lives. The leader put it this way in a comment about the incident:
………our organization is already condemned by the establishment and the extreme left, but the Resistance has not committed any error or made any mistakes. We held a public activity and defended ourselves when we were attacked. We will continue to spread our message and we will continue to make use of our right to self-defense and always fight back against those who attack us!
The days are getting shorter, the leaves turn yellow and the harsh Scandinavian cold approaches. Summer is now over and autumn has arrived. Humans as well as animals prepare for winter. A time when nature is resting and recovering in anticipation of the coming summer. But for the Resistance there is no time for rest and recovery. The fight for the Nordic peoples freedom continues unabated!
On September 27th in Tbilisi, Georgia, various nationalists groups held a demonstration that culminated in the arrests of several nationalists. YesPasaran caught up with a Georgian nationalist using the pseudonym Peter Stahl to find out what happened that day.
Yes Pasaran: Let’s start from the beginning. What was the demonstration about?
Peter Stahl: The demonstration was held to commemorate the fall of Sokhumi, the capital of Abkhazia, in the 90’s war.
YP: What groups were involved in the demonstration?
PS: There were various Nationalist groups participating, including “Georgian Power”, “Nationalist Legion”, “Edelweiss”, “Idea”, “Pan-European Ethno-Nationalism”, as well as football fans like “Bergmann”, “Ultras Dinamo”, etc. The event was open for everyone holding Nationalistic/Right Wing views. Dress code was black/military uniforms.
YP: How many people would you say there were all together?
PS: About 150.
YP: Where in the city was it held?
PS: We gathered up on the central Rustaveli ave., near Metro station, then we marched down the “Heroes’ Square”, where memorial of the fallen war participants is located, several participants made speeches, gave interviews and we marched on to Aghmashenebeli ave.
YP: Did anybody actually attack Turkish businesses, & what prompted this if they did?
PS: As I mentioned earlier, the demo was open to participate in, therefore there were those, who were completely foreign to us. Some of the participants, mostly of minor age and inexperienced, initiated and imitated behaviors that contradicted the clearly defined code and discipline of the rally, which was to be held absolutely in accordance with the law and public order.
As a result, there were few cases of trampling advertisement bill-boards, throwing pyrotechnics towards the restaurants, etc. Nothing major, in essence.
YP: The media is making it out to be some kind of riot.
PS: The media, just like in the rest of Europe, is extremely biased and serves a clearly defined agenda, which is anti-Nationalist.
YP: So what happened in regards to the arrests?
PS: The arrests were strange and bizzare: a handful of Police squads were continuously following us during the whole event. They did not react specifically on the skirmishes that occurred during the march. Later on, when we were gathering ourselves to continue towards the Rustaveli ave. again, the Police surrounded us and ordered not to move, placed a detention car near the crowd and after a brief pause, started arresting people randomly, regardless of their involvement in activities in question or even participation in the demonstration – they simply started arresting everybody standing there, excluding females.
YP: I heard most were let go without even a fine?
PS: Those were minors, that was the reason they were not fined. But the “fine” itself was not for the crime, but for the bail-out before the main court hearing.
YP: So they are all still facing charges.
PS: All arrested, including the seven minors, are to be charged for the same crimes. At least, that’s what the State wants to accomplish.
YP: Did the others make bail, or do they have a bail fund set up if they did not?
SP: From 5 of those held, 3 or 4 made it out already. As for the others, one of them is our guy, who will most likely make it out in several days, and the other guy, well, nobody knows him and, therefore, his whereabouts. Most likely, he got out.
YP: So what happened at the demonstration, after the arrests?
PS: We scattered, so as not to be caught.
YP: Is there anything else you would like to add before we wrap things up?
PS: We will not back down in spite of the injustice and harshness against us, and the clear will to suppress us demonstrated by the State & we will continue our fight with even more vigor and focus.
