Over 300 anti-migrant protesters marched through the streets of Paris on Saturday in a ‘Paris Pride’ (as in pride in being Parisian) demonstration organized by Generation Identitaire, a far-right youth group, and the Association of Paris Pride. The protesters carried flares and images of Paris’ patron saint, Saint Genevieve, as well as a banner reading ‘Defend Paris.’ The march has been held annually since 2005.
Investigators say the fire that started in the Parisian suburb of Boulogne-Billancourt at around 3:30am local time could have been set intentionally, France24 reported. Police discovered traces of combustible material and a fire accelerant near the entrance of the building.
“I think this is definitely an arson, because in the screaming I heard the people who were saying ‘don’t do this, don’t do this, stop’,” Gelson Alveal, a witness who lives across the street, told RT.
“In fact I think someone threw something in the window to break the glass and enter the building, which is why I heard the breaking glass, and exactly after this moment the fire started. It is a crime, no doubts,” he said.
However, it is yet to be confirmed whether the fire was arson.
At least six people were saved “from certain death” and 13 others suffered minor injuries after inhaling toxic smoke, the Paris firefighters’ press office reported following the rescue operation that ended in an evacuation of 300 people.

The centers are supposed to help migrants to apply for residence and find permanent accommodation once they are accepted. There has been a number of attacks on migrants’ centers in France registered last month, but those attacks didn’t end in injuries or deaths.
This Tuesday evening in old Lyon, three scum have cowardly attacked a young native Frenchmen in order to steal his cell phone. Bad luck for them: these cowards committed their attack in front of the Generation Identity base.
Alerted by the commotion, the G.I. members immediately left the house to help their fellow countryman, and managed to immobilize one of the attackers. Under guard, the young maghrebi was in tears & tried several times to negotiate his release, while still claiming his innocence to his mother by phone. It was obviously easier for him to be brave when it was three against one.
He was then handed over to the national police who congratulated the militants of Generation Identity for their actions and their determination, & then collected the statement of the young college kid assaulted.
In the face of the scum, there is solidarity between Frenchmen!
Police arrested several protesters after they managed to get into the center, and had to stand guard near the building, local newspaper Ouest-France reported.
The demonstration was staged by far-right groups, with support from local residents taking part.
Protest coordinators with loudspeakers could be seen encouraging members of the protest into action.
It follows confirmation from the regional prosecutor that a 67-year-old local woman had been sexually assaulted by a 16-year-old Sudanese migrant last Thursday. The “youth” had been staying in the migrant center in the village, moving there after the dismantling of the Calais Jungle camp.
The far-right activists accused the authorities of trying to sweep the incident under the carpet, especially after the prosecutor said that the situation had been exaggerated online.
“The victim was taking the shopping out of her car when she was approached by a young man. In broken English he told her that her house was beautiful. Then he tried to kiss her repeatedly, after which she pushed him back,” prosecutor Francois Touron told Ouest-France.
“The young man, from Sudan, touched the woman’s left breast, then he made a gesture as if he was masturbating” the official added.
The woman went to police and the migrant was detained and charged with sexual assault. However, the authorities later released him, and he is set to appear in court in March.

Four hundred French men & women gathered in Versailles to protest against the opening of migrant centers in their country, & the continued invasion of France by hostile foreigners.
The event was organized by Fabien Bouglé of the Versailles Families’ Futures group. Addressing the crowd, he said: “We are here to say no to the migrant camp in Rocquencourt, in the Yvelines, and elsewhere in France. Here our women have no choice but to be veiled or raped.” He also called upon United States president-elect Donald Trump to help stop the invasion of France.
Also notable among the speakers was retired general Christian Piquemal, who was involved in the French Pegida protest earlier this year.
The protest went unopposed, save for two passers by who stopped for a photo. There were no arrests or incidents of violence.
